MODELLING MAC BRIDAL LOOKS - BLEND MAKE UP LONDON

Getting to Model for Blend Make Up London was a real pleasure and you can imagine how excited I was to hear I would be dressing up as a bride! (eeeeek mini celebratory dance). Blend Make Up London have their own dreamy make up studio in South East London which even includes movie star lights around the mirrors (in love! I totally need these) and as soon you walk in you realise you are in MAC HEAVEN!

This was my first time being a bridal model and it was so much fun! it was a great opportunity to try on beautiful dresses, get fully glammed up and even wear a veil! (it's not too much to just wear one on a daily basis is it? because I'm totally considering it) The girls who run Blend Make Up London are so lovely and most importantly super talented which made my job a whole lot easier.

Both of the girls are MAC make up artists so all products used were MAC. I will leave a full List of products used to create the look for anyone that wants to recreate it.

Eyes - Tan pigment, Swiss chocolate and embark eyeshadows, in extreme dimension 3D mascara, Eldora lashes h122

Face - Studio fix fluid nc44, prolong wear concealer nw35 mixed with nw40, nw58 studio finish concealer to contour with shadster sculpting powder over the top, sweet as coco blusher, gold deposit skin finish (highlighter)

Brows - Brun eyeshadow

Lips- Twig with ample pink plush glass on top

I love doing things i've never done before and now I can tick bridal modelling off the list! (Now I just need to learn to do my own eye make up that fabulous!)

CRAZY BEAR HOTEL - NEW SUITE

I had never stayed at the Crazy Bear Hotel in Beaconsfield before but had always wanted to from the moment I saw a huge roll top copper bath at the end of each bed (proof that love at first sight does exist).  So you can just imagine my excitement when I found out I was actually going there (mini celebratory dance). Beaconsfield is about an hour's drive from Central London and it's completely worth travelling to visit this incredible hotel. Arriving at the hotel, Joey (boyfriend) and I were greeted with glasses of champagne in a small buzzing reception with a very low mirrored ceiling, making the whole thing seem super surreal. We were staying in Suite 27, a brand new suite in a room that the hotel had applied for planning permission for numerous times due to it being a listed building and had finally been successful. We hadn't even seen a picture of the room as it wasn't up on the website yet but I was completely overwhelmed and head over heels in love the moment I walked in.

Once inside it felt like we had been transported to an Arabian Palace (I knew I was always meant to be Princess Jasmine). With velvet walls and ceilings and a black leather floor, you can see where the hotel gets its 'Crazy Bear' name from. The bathroom was just as amazing as the bedroom, top to bottom in black and gold with the most amazing gold sink and gold rain shower. I can't begin to tell you how many times I asked if it would be too much to have my room at home like this (I'm totally still considering it).

As if this wasn't already the most amazing room I had ever had the pleasure of setting my eyes on, there was something even more special about it. The bath ran from the ceiling! (Yes I said ceiling!) and it was just as exciting the first time I watched it happen as the last (and yes I had 3 baths in under 20 hours). The bath was so deep I almost considered popping on a pair of armbands for safety but oh my it was so lovely! If you are anything like me you will love to see what bath and shower mini's the hotel has provided and the Crazy Bear did not disappoint. There were four perfect little bottles of Noble Isle served on a very posh silver dish which consisted of Body Lotion (Fire Side), Bath and Shower gel (Fire Side), Shampoo and Conditioner (Perry Pear). The bubble bath had a gorgeous warm scent, a mixture of spice and vanilla notes, which bubbled up a treat in our huge copper tub. However, I have super sensitive skin so can't really use a lot of heavily scented products, meaning the bubble bath was quite enough for me and I avoided using the rest of the products (but I know Joey enjoyed them, especially the body lotion).

Cue pictures of me sipping champagne in the bath ..

Okay that's quite enough of that ..

After I was forced out of the bath (I think I would still be in it now if not) we visited the Crazy Bear Thai Restaurant followed by the Crazy Bear Bar. The thai restaurant was totally gorgeous and had so much character, we had the premium 10 plate sharing menu full of so much delicious food, which I would recommend.  I also have a nut allergy and the restaurant staff were really understanding and careful when it came to exploring what I could and couldn't eat and went above and beyond to make us happy.

A food baby and a few glasses of champagne later we moved over to the bar which again was nothing but incredible to look at, with crystals, leather and velvet filling the room. After one more bath and a good night's sleep in what felt like a big marshmallow, we did face one problem. When we woke in the morning we had no running water in our room (first thought was that I needed get back in the copper bath ASAP). However, this was fixed within 10 minutes and the hotel allowed us an extra hour in the room and a complimentary cooked breakfast (Perfect!).

I would totally recommend staying at the Crazy Bear Hotel for a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary, whether that’s in a suite or a normal room (however to have a copper bath you do need a suite or superior room). Although a little on the pricey side, I honestly feel like for me it could not have been better, so was completely worth it to feel like a total queen for the night. I am now counting down the days until I return to the Crazy Bear Hotel and am reunited with my copper roll top bath.
